Daniel Dodson (first from the left), Garrett Painting, with his volunteer work crew on ForColumbia Day.
On Saturday, April 27th, hundreds of volunteers across the city of Columbia gave a day of their time to the betterment of the community. Garrett Painting was actively involved with four painters giving their time to the efforts. Daniel was joined by Wallace Beck, Kyle Wilburn, and Andy Cook. Corey Fasching helped organize Garrett Painting’s participation before and on the day of the event.
Daniel organized his team by talent, then provided instruction and direction as the volunteers took on several areas of re-painting. “It was fun for sure,” said Dodson. “It was great to see the group rise up to the occasion and get quite a bit accomplished.” His biggest surprise came in the afternoon when the young adults were replaced by children creating a whole new cycle of training and accomplishments.
Garrett painting was pleased to partner with Columbia based Johnston Paint and Decorating who donated the paint and the local Sherwin Williams store who contributed supply items to the event.
